The Black Death Run

Recently I entered the www.theblackdeathrun.com a cruelling 10.5 mile cross country run. Its organised by a good friend and a client at work. The first 2 miles you climb up over 1000ft over some mentally rough terrain.

This was entered in a sere moment of stupidity as I haven't run for over 2 years and I wanted to give my self a physical challenge prior to the 3 peaks in July to keep my fitness up.

So today I attempted what was a short 5k run and surprised myself when it was a 10k and I still had the energy to keep going.

Total route Length - 10.29k
Total time - 56.28

the new age of free weights - ViPR

ViPR training, is something that is readily becoming more popular in gyms via the free weights areas and classes.
I recently undertook a training course in to how these work and how best to them in a class and for P.T.

The concept behind ViPR is simple its a multi-functional whole body training. It basically is a hollow rubber tube with 3 handles. The courses itself went into detail on how best to use the ViPR and how easy it is to progress and regress the free flowing movements.

After doing this training I am going to in corporate the ViPR training style into my own Strength and conditioning work out.

Look out for Videos and Pictures that will swiftly follow.
